It was described in 1897. It's very common specie and we can find it in equatorial regial in savanna in West Africa.
Some sort can grow up to 16cm leg span. It's a tree-specie so we often see webs on tree where they catch the booty.
The humidity should be around 70-80% and the temperature around 28°C or higher. In terrarium we put a piece of trunk so it can make a web for catching a booty.
This specie can live to 10 years, males a little less.
We feed them with crickets, grasshoppers, later we can also give them a grown up cockroach. |
