We find this specie in Sri Lanka. It's an arboreal specie so we have to have higher terrarium. It grows up about 22 cm or more and it's a fast grown specie. It's also very fast and aggressive. It's bites are very painful and we need a medical help if it comes up to that. This spiders are not appropriate for beginners.
We put in terrarium about 4cm of peat, some plants and a piece of root for it's hiding-place. The temperature should be about 22-30 °C and the humidity about 70-85%. We can also sprinkle the base for keeping high humidity.
We feed them with crickets, mice and small lizards. |
