| This specie lives in Sri Lanka in tropical forests of Asia. It grows up about 20-22 cm, so the sizes of terrarium should be 30x40 cm. For base we use peat, which we can also springle once in a while for keeping high humidity.
The temperature should be around 28°C and it can be lower by night. The humidity should be at least 80%.
This specie lives about 10-12 years and it has very paintful bite. We can have serious consequences, like coma. So that's why this specie is not appropriate for beginners.
It's a fast grown specie and the females are grown up at the age of one and a half years.
We feed them with crickets, grasshoppers, sometimes also with mice. |
