| Tiger bird spider is with 20 cm legspan the biggest spider on the world. It lives in India and Sri Lanka. It hides in silky cobwebs by day and hunting birds and lizards.
Patterns on the body are white, gray and black. Below on the first and second pairs of legs they are yellow and black. Most of this sort of spiders live high above the ground on palms and other tropical trees. Some of them are also lower, near ground.
